The tag limit is how many tags you can search for at once. Normal s can only search for 2 tags at once. Gold s can search for up to 6 tags at once.

Normally your favorites are visible to everyone. Gold s can make their favorites private in their settings.

Saved searches let you save your favorite tags and searches. They let you easily check for new posts under your favorite tags. Gold s can keep up to 1000 saved searches. See help:saved searches for more details.
Complicated tag searches may take longer to execute. Normal s can only do searches that take up to 3 seconds long. Gold s can do searches that take up to 6 seconds long. This means Gold s can do more complicated tag searches.
